Call for multimedia Entries

Create a video with your view on these themes:

  • Self and Personal Development
  • Society and Culture
  • Science, Technology and the Environment

Essential Questions:

Imagine if you are producing a "trailer" to introduce one of the 3 themes to students at your school who are new to the Liberal Studies curriculum. How can you inspire these students to engage with Liberal Studies in a personal way?


Guiding Questions:

  • From a learner's perspective, what does it have to do with you?
  • Why is it important?
  • Are there any real world/ personal examples that can be easily related?

Assessment Criteria

  • The content is compelling and provides an overview of the individual's interest and passion.
  • The viewer is engaged throughout the video.
  • The project shows significant evidence of originality and inventiveness.
  • The work is well edited with high quality shots.
  • A variety of visual techniques are used to assist in communicating the main ideas.
  • The audio is clear and background noise is kept in balance.
  • The work is properly cited and acknowledge is given when appropriate.

The video should be a maximum of 2 minutes, submitted through a private youtube channel, containing their name, school name, and contact information in the credits.

Any potential infringement of copyrights will disqualify the submission.
